April 2026 WGCC Networking Circles
Dates: April 15, 16, 21 & 23, 2026
Time: Circle times vary; please visit the registration page for the full schedule.
Location: Virtual via Zoom
Circle Topic: WGCCLeadership Series: Navigating Hypervigilance, AI, and Professional Judgment
Join this WGCC Networking Circle for a peer‑led, professionally focused discussion on how hypervigilance in senior executive in‑house roles—particularly for women General Counsel—can be intensified by AI‑driven risk detection and real‑time issue surfacing.
Circle Summary:
Participants will examine how these tools can unintentionally reinforce perfectionism and “always‑on” oversight expectations and explore practical approaches for maintaining confidence in professional judgment when technology accelerates risk identification. Through structured dialogue, the Circle will support leaders in calibrating vigilance, reinforcing professional competence, and adopting sustainable, effective decision‑making practices in an increasingly AI‑enabled legal environment.
By the end of this session, attendees will take away leadership-appropriate shifts in their actions for their professional role, how they work, lead and relate to AI.
Specifically, they will be able to better:
Reframe AI as a process‑enhancing risk detection tool, not a measure of personal competence
Deliberately separate risk detection from risk judgment
Normalize reliance on AI and systems as a feature of modern legal leadership
Set clear cognitive and procedural boundaries around AI use
Use peer calibration and dialogue instead of self‑comparison
Recognize hypervigilance as a situational tool, not a permanent leadership identity
Acknowledge and name the gendered dynamics that intensify AI‑driven self‑doubt
Commit to more sustainable, confidence‑preserving leadership practices
What is a Networking Circle?
The WGCC Networking Circles have been thoughtfully crafted to facilitate the discussion and exchange of ideas and insights among WGCC members, with a particular emphasis on legal leadership and professionalism and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). These small, informal groups offer an invaluable opportunity to forge connections with other WGCC members, expand your professional network and support system as you navigate the complex challenges that arise in legal executive roles.
